Wedding Ideas

I wasn't sure if I was going to write about this, but since Amy is such a good sport I'll do it.

We were shopping (more like window shopping... we didn't buy a single item) with Deb and Jerry a couple weekends ago in the Mission District. We saw the coolest corn husk skirt in one window and stopped to take a picture. do you see Joe and Jerry reflected in the window? We decided My brother's fiance (Amy, if you didn't hear the news) should wear this as a tribute to Iowa.

Then we went inside the most interesting store I've ever seen. The Paxton Gate Taxidermy store is actually mentioned in our tour books. I really should have taken more pictures of all the neat, yet twisted things they had (and were selling). To name a few: stuffed monkey with wings (looked just like the monkeys from The Wizard of Oz!), a bunch of animal glass eyes, and a stuffed horse... turned into a unicorn.

The one thing I took a picture of at the Paxton Gate was of these two little critters. Going with the whole wedding theme we sent this picture to Amy as a suggestion for their wedding. You can't beat true taxidermy mice cake toppers. Like I said earlier, Amy was a good sport... her response was "only if they have a cheesecake." Love it!

The shopping in the Mission district was lots of fun. You won't fine chain retail stores there. Each one was different and unique.
