Saturday was a beautiful day for football in San Francisco. We bought tickets to the Cal vs Oregon State game knowing it wasn't going to be the best one to attend, but many of the games were actually sold out or pretty pricey.
The stadium in Berkeley is under construction (it sits directly on a fault line so they're making it more "earthquake proof" if there is such a thing) so all of their home games have been played at AT&T Park where the Giants play. It was very convenient for us seeing that AT&T Park is very close to our apartment and we could just walk down the block. You've seen us at Giants games here and here.
We sat along what is usually the first base side that was converted into the endzone. I think Scott was the one that pointed out that I've been to a lot of Pac 12 stadiums this year. Since we've moved to California I've actually seen more Pac 12 stadiums than Big 10 stadiums! I've seen Stanford, Cal (we did see the actual stadium in Berkeley), Colorado and Utah (even though I didn't go to a game there).
There was a good view of the outfield (where we've sat in the past) and the Bay Bridge. Can you see it peaking through? And of course the Coke bottle you can always recognize at AT&T Park.
We got some food (and hot chocolate because it got chilly once the sun went down) and moved to some higher seats to watch the second half.
Cal ended up winning easily. We took off a bit early to head to a bar nearby and watch the Stanford vs Oregon game. I had some co-workers at the game that joined us once it was over. Of course the bars were pretty busy, but it was a fun night.
