Yesterday was a special day in the Western Mountain Pacific Sales Office. Did you catch all that? That's pretty much how Marriott sums up the Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Utah and Colorado region. Anyways, back to the special day... Mr. Marriott visited us yesterday! It was a pretty big deal. Everyone was wearing their suits (which is saying something... we're privileged enough to wear jeans everyday) and each desk was clean and tidy. The neat thing was everyone got to shake Mr. Marriott's hand and get an individual picture with him. He made a quick visit throughout the office, yet took the time to stop to meet everyone.
For now I'll just have to put a stock photo up, but hopefully eventually I can get the picture of me with Mr. Marriott on the blog! Just for a little background, Mr. Marriott that visited our office is J.W. (Bill) Marriott Jr. His dad (J. Willard Marriott) was the one who started the company back in 1927.
We're heading to Carmel this weekend to see Deb and Jerry. Can't wait!
