We celebrated our anniversary at Pinocchio's. It's an Italian restaurant in North Beach we ate at about 2 1/2 years ago when Joe was in San Francisco for a different Wells Fargo training program and I visited him for a couple days. The past two years we've taken mini vacations for our anniversary, but seeing that living in San Francisco has been pretty much a vacation for us (at least on the weekends) we thought it would be fun to go back to Pinocchio's.
One thing I love about the city and we witnessed walking home from the restaurant are the pockets of culture. We literally heard people speaking Italian, walked across the street and heard people speaking Chinese. The distinction between the two neighborhoods was very clear.
On our walk home we passed a cigar store. Completely spur of the moment we bought a cigar to smoke in honor of our honeymoon. When we were in Jamaica we bought a Cohiba and smoked it on our balcony. This time we didn't buy the Cohiba. Instead we bought a smaller and cheaper cigar, but we still smoked it on our balcony.
We're off to Napa Valley this weekend. It should be a great time.
