We made it safely to San Francisco! Despite the excitement, yesterday was a long day. We got up at 5:00 AM and drove from Okoboji to Sioux Falls where our flight took off around 9:30. Thanks to Jed and Julie for the new neck pillows. They helped us get a little bit of sleep:) Our lay over was short in Minneapolis and our flight got into San Francisco around 1:30 PST yesterday. Deb and Jerry picked us up at the airport which was a great help. We got all the keys to our apartment and moved in the few clothes we had with us. I shouldn't say few clothes... our luggage was 18 pounds over weight at the airport! Luckily the Delta lady was very nice and found us a box to put extra items in and we checked that for $35 instead of paying the over weight fee of $90. Thanks Deb and Jerry for the snacks you bought us! We will celebrate our move with the wine you bought also.
Joe had a welcome reception last night for his training class. Today he has orientation and starts his actual class on Monday. I had an interview for a job today too, we'll see what happens next week. We haven't fully settled into our apartment because we're switching to a different room next week.
I took pictures of the apartment we're in now, but figured it would be pointless to post them since this wont be the place we'll end up living in. Tomorrow we're going to Alcatraz and Sunday we might check out a Giants game. I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures from the weekend!
Enough with the words... because I don't think any blog posts should be without a picture, here is one of Joe and I a little over 2 years ago at the Golden Gate bridge.
