Joe found an Iowa bar in San Francisco through the Hawkeye forums online. Seeing that we don't have the Big Ten Network to watch the game we decided to check it out on Saturday. We're used to getting up early to drive from Des Moines to Iowa City for the games, but for some reason it felt weird going to a bar at 9:00 in the morning.
We took the bus to Ghirardelli Square where the Iowa bar is located. We have gotten pretty good at using the bus system so we didn't have to wait very long, but here's a picture we snapped quick before boarding the bus.
If we would have known how amazing the bar's brunch menu was we wouldn't eaten breakfast ahead of time. Instead we just waited until half time to order food and we were not disappointed. I got french toast sticks and breakfast potatoes. Joe had a breakfast burrito that was loaded with chorizo and potatoes.
It was fun to watch the game with fellow Hawkeye fans. We'll definitely be back to this bar again.
